Do you want to work extremely close with Scania customers and at the same time drive the development of tools supporting Scania's coming customer services and solutions - very directly contributing to Scania's ability to take the lead in the shift towards a sustainable transport system, while maintaining industry leading profitability levels? If so, you might be just the one we are looking for.

Lean Solutions Tools develops tools and modules based on connectivity, that enables Scania core processes or tailored customer offerings to become more efficient, profitable and sustainable. The tools and modules are mainly for internal Scania users in their own processes or when delivering a consultative service to external customers, eg Scania Fleet Care or Site Optimisation consultant.

Building on existing Scania strengths and by combining business understanding, agile IT development, modularised applications and algorithms, Lean Solutions Tools can create faster throughput meeting a specific customer need.

Examples of applications Lean Solutions Tools have developed and are continuously improving are:

Ecolution Analyser - the analysis and quotation tool for Ecolution by Scania
Fleet CO2mposer - a CO2 and cost optimisation tool for customer sustainability diagnosis
Equipment Utilisation - an uptime optimisation tool for Scania Mining and Fleet Care
Lead Generator - a tool for prospecting services and solutions

In this role you will lead a team designated to supporting our new neighbouring department Advanced Business Solutions with needed applications to, in tight cooperation with selected customers, operate Scania tools and services based on connectivity - in scalable and modularized set-ups ("control towers") - in order to provide real proof-of-concept of planned and available service offerings, identify customer value, and propose business model(s) as well as bundling for broader implementation.

Your duties
Your responsibility will be to build up and lead a new development team meanwhile working relatively hands-on with Advanced Business Solutions on setting up the first control towers. When established your team as a whole will be responsible for:

Based on dialogues regarding tools requirements with Advanced Business Solutions and customer, determine what existing services and IT modules to re-use, adapt or develop in order to satisfy the specific need - while balancing it with scalability. Overall ambition is to only create modules that have a potential of being used at larger scale eventually.
Continuously operate and improve the tools needed for tailored "control towers".
Establish methods to spread insights from control tower to rest of Connected Services and Solutions and other parts Scania.

You will work closely with rest of Connected Services and Solutions as well as Scania IT and be part of Lean Solutions Tools management team.

Your profile
We are looking for a person who is responsive but has the confidence to make decisions and lead the way. You have a commercial orientation - to easily understand business needs and be capable of prioritising between multiple and sometimes diverse requirements.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated and willing to engage in leadership and holistic projects as well as more hands-on operational issues. Since not everything is in place and we are developing functionality in a fast moving environment you need to be structured and analytical but more importantly have a can-do mentality.

Experience from Scania dealer or transport business is regarded a major benefit. In addition, you have good communication skills, easy to build networks and can represent your organization. Work will require some travelling. You most likely have a relevant academic degree in economics, engineering or possibly computer science.
