EnterCard is focused on managing partner-branded credit-card programmes for organizations such as British Airways, Swedish Golf Association, the union Handels in Sweden, Coop and LO in both Denmark and Norway. EnterCard also issues credit cards and corporate cards on behalf of Banks such as Swedbank and SpareBank1 including several Independent SavingsBanks in Sweden and Norway.
The new Head of Credit Risk ECM will have a critical and leading role in the creation of a world class Credit Risk capability that aims to be a key competitive advantage for EnterCard.
The Head of Credit Risk Existing Customer Management will have specialist responsibility for all credit risk strategies and polices for existing customers across all countries in the Nordics.
Key responsibilities
• Responsible for leading a highly analytical team in delivering a market leading credit risk capability
• Responsible for ensuring our risk appetite measures are sufficiently detailed, aligned to our strategic and financial plans, and embedded within our existing customer campaign approval process
• The role holder will be responsible for all behavioural scorecards, including their risk discrimination power, stability and accuracy
• The role holder will be responsible for setting score cut-off's for existing customer credit risk strategies ensuring there is a formal process with strong governance in place for cut off reviews, and the cut-offs are aligned to both our risk appetites and our financial ambitions set out in the medium term plans
• Responsible for all existing customer policy rule development and on going management / challenge through test and learn
• Responsible for exposure management and on going challenge through test and learn and for
delivering a responsible lending strategy
• Business owner for requirements for credit risk systems relating to existing customers
• Responsible for monitoring existing customer risk concentration and ensuring that the risk concentration remains aligned to our short term and medium term plans
• Leading the development of STP impairment targets with sufficiently granular inputs and a highly effective tracking and forecasting capability. This should include existing customer triggers, scale and mandates measures and macro environment triggers
• Working with the marketing teams in establishing plans and ensuring a) the right risk-reward settings and b) the marketing plans will deliver the STP / MTP
• Responsible for ensuring management information is sufficiently detailed and timely
Skills / Competencies
• A strong university degree in a numerate subject is preferred
• Significant relevant experience - minimum 5 years experience, which should include Card experience
Proven track record in successfully managing in an analytical environment
• Proven track record with respectable financial/retail institution
• Strong credit, financial, economic knowledge and background
• Sound knowledge of Credit Risk principles and capability to communicate these
• Sound knowledge of business key value drivers and issues in a consumer lending / unsecured lending business
• Strong leadership skills
• Must be able to implement and monitor key controls
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office - in particular Excel
• An understanding of SAS preferred
