Staff Function Communication actively supports and enables the implementation of Vattenfall's business strategy in all of its markets and with all stakeholder groups. Within Communications, the team Business and Corporate Communication works closely with the six Business Areas and Staff Functions to strengthen Vattenfall 's image and ensure empowered and engaged employees.

Our purpose of enabling fossil-free living within one generation is what drives us and guides all communication activities.
As a leading player within wind power our Business Area Wind is developing, constructing and operating Vattenfall's wind farms and large-scale solar and batteries asset in five markets across Europe.
We are looking for someone to join us as Head of Communications for Business Area Wind. This role requires you to understand the context that Vattenfall and BA Wind operates in and to translate this into tangible communication strategies and actions that help BA Wind and Vattenfall achieve their goals.
The role is placed within the team of Business & Corporate Communication, reporting to the Vice President Business & Corporate Communication, in close cooperation with the Senior Vice President of Business Area Wind. As a member of the management team of Business & Corporate Communication and of the management team of Business Area Wind you will be highly involved in the strategic processes of both areas.
Main tasks
As the Head of Communications for Business Area Wind your main responsibilities will be:
Set up and ensure execution of communication plan for Wind in close cooperation with the Business Area and communication experts from Media Relations, Brand, Public & Regulatory Affairs, Change Communication and Project Management.
Work closely with the Senior Vice President and the management team of Business Area Wind. Act as sparring partner and give strategic advice on all matters concerning communication, both external and internal. Provide hands-on support and develop necessary messages.
Acquire profound business knowledge and share this within Communications to ensure focus on and prioritization of Wind topics.
Plan and execute communication projects to that help Business Area Wind to reach their business objectives. Identify and target relevant stakeholders from all categories in the Wind and Solar Industry with a focus on B2B communications.
Develop and execute internal (change) communication programs to support and accelerate the strategy of Vattenfall and Business Area Wind.
Manage functional teams across a wide range of internal and external communication projects, with colleagues from five markets in an international environment.
Plan resources, budget, control whether results help to achieve targets and ensure an efficient way of working
Contribute to:
Improved stakeholder acceptance in Wind projects.
Group wide communications projects that require active and close collaboration with the Heads of Communications of all of Vattenfall's Business Areas to drive an integrated story.
Inspiration and innovation within the Comms functions.

Desired education and experience
You hold a university degree in Communications, Political Science, Business or another relevant topic. You have extensive experience (min. 7 years) as a professional communicator, including experience in a managerial position. You have worked in an international environment across several markets. Ideally, you have worked with different disciplines of communication.
You need to be fluent in English language (written and verbal) and in either Dutch, German or Swedish.
