This will be us - your new colleagues within Foundational Products & Chapters
Foundational Products & Chapters is part of Technology, a new function within Volvo Group Digital & IT with a big stake in the Group's digital transformation. Technology will modernize Volvo's core digital backbone making it a platform for digital products.
Foundational Products & Chapters are responsible for API & Integration, DevSecOps, Cloud and Development Platforms. Our Foundational IT products are used by digital product teams and enable them and their products to outperform Volvo's competitors. Our digital talents develop capabilities and digital technologies to improve business performance and create value for the Group with speed and at scale.
We collaborate with other parts of the organization, both in Group IT, with TD/BAs and Group Functions. We foster an environment where ideas, thoughts and opinions can be shared. We are team players with clear common ambitions, and we win together.
This is how you could make an impact
As Head of Cloud, you will be key in the execution of the Digital & IT Strategy. In this role, you will be an important contributor to the transformation of the IT landscape in Volvo Group. You will drive the shift to a modern, agile and cost-efficient delivery organization. You will be part of the Foundational Products & Chapters Management Team and report to the Head of Foundational Products & Chapters.
You always put the customer in focus and are curious to understand the needs of the business to be able to provide the best fit for each team. Your ability to develop digital talents focused on Cloud technologies creates an organization that is curious and hungry to learn; that takes pride in understanding the market and knows what good looks like.
You develop a Cloud environment that is relevant for meeting our business need and you will manage the relevant cloud budget, designing solutions, performance tuning and ensure the cloud environments meet security and compliance requirements.
Building solid relationships with vendors and partners will be essential to stay ahead with developments in Cloud technologies, manages delivery issues, for technical advice and resource augmentations.
You drive Cloud adoption across the organization and lead your team to provide Cloud platform services, capabilities & expertise in how to take advantage of Cloud services to ensure the development of modern applications.
You build strong relationships with teams to understand their future needs, provide guidance and prioritize enhancements needed in the Cloud Environment Platform enterprise wide.
Lead the buildup of Chapter capabilities in Cloud engineering, ensuring capacity to meet the needs of Products and Development Teams you will establish a community of Practice that orchestrates knowledge sharing across the Volvo Group.
You demonstrate an inclusive leadership, and you communicate at ease with your team of approximately 20 dedicated and highly skilled professionals located in Europe and Asia.
Who are you?

To be successful in this position we believe you have a university degree or equivalent, and several years of experience from leading people or leading leaders' positions, preferably within IT management.
The right candidate will be able to think and act strategically but also to operate and implement change tactically when required, dealing effectively with ambiguity and managing changing priorities. You should be passionate about driving strategic & technological transformation in a business focused, fact-based and collaborative way to achieve real impact. This role requires solid communication skills and a passion for leading, inspiring and developing people.
In addition to this, you are a passionate believer in continuous learning. You should feel energized by working both independently and interdependently, have proven skills in cross-functional collaboration and thrive in managing, foster and enable both the perform and the transform angles of the job.
