PDU Exilis is a new organization that will be leading the acceleration and creation of a cloud-native Radio Access Network (RAN) product offering with commercial engagements starting during 2020. The new PDU will contain in one organization total life-cycle capability from architecture definition to deployment in customer networks & capability to contribute to open source communities in ONAP.
To set ourselves up for greatness we will count on our leaders to truly embody BNEWs three C's, Customer Focus, Collaboration and Can-do, to drive the realization of the Exilis portfolio.
In this role you will report to Head of PDU Exilis and be part of the Leadership team.
Job Responsibilities:
You will lead a team responsible for the Exilis CI/CD & System Integration, ensuring we as a company succeed in delivering a cloud native RAN offering to our customers, including:
ensuring that Ericsson offers a best-in-class, leading-edge cloud-native DU CI/CD framework and deployment models to realize the full potential of cloud native solutions
supporting the other PDGs to ensure that designers have an agile development test environment, and allowing those PDGs to see microservices deployed to customers as part of the standard way of working; this may involve the development or the sourcing of designer test environments (e.g., UE simulators)
ensuring that the product supports a standard release model for those more traditional customers
establishing a strategy to allow for end-to-end system testing in conjunction with NSV for cross-system testing
ensuring that this solution be adaptable to a range deployment models anticipated (carrier edge, enterprise edge, hyperscalars, private networks, IoT networks, etc.)
collaborating with Product Line regarding CI/CD service evolution
You will be expected to work closely with the other PDGs or Function Groups to ensure that the entire Exilis program works towards common goals. You will also be expected to work closely with other DNEW PDUs or FUs as it relates to providing a cohesive Ericsson offering.
You will work closely towards our market areas and customer units as well as Ericsson's lead customers as it relates to this domain.
