In the finance community this is best symbolized through going from budgeting to "beyond budgeting" with everything related to this such as new review structures, rolling forecasting, modular business modelling, agile investment decision processes, link to risk management processes and much more. In this role, you utilize your interest in and experience from this type of transformation and put it in effect to help the SEK 37 billion business in Sweden to come through it in the best possible way.
Your next challenge?
Head of Business Control Sweden is responsible for Business Control processes in Telia Sweden, helping the CFO Sweden (whom you report to) and the BC teams within Telia Sweden to support and challenge the various Business Units and Companies within the Region in their day to day decision making, while at the same time driving change in implementing a "beyond budgeting" framework for all businesses in Sweden. In addition, your team is responsible for business controlling for the units within Telia Sweden that does not have their specific BC team. The Business Control Sweden unit is new and established in parallel with the Telia Sweden's new organization, going live on January 1, 2019.
Who are you?
You likely have a Master's degree in Business/Economics, Engineering or in both. You may very well have a management consulting experience, but most critically you have experience from senior business controlling situations in a large organization. You have an interest in different ways to steer and control a large business, and you know of complexities to drive change in these in practice. You are more stressed about getting to the right decisions than upholding the control structure as such, but you know that large organizations require structures and frameworks to work efficiently. You are a natural leader and may have had formal leadership roles in the past. You dare to challenge senior managers when needed, and have the integrity to never take the easy way out.
