The Architecture function within VG D&IT Group IT is central to the transformation towards our North Star Target IT Architecture which is the foundation for the Digital Industrial Footprint of the Volvo Group. Together with our digital talents, we will deliver the platforms on which future services and solutions will be built. We will outline a North Star IT Architecture that embraces our legacy and enable value creation for the Group.
The function works closely together and with other parts of the organization, both in VG D&IT, with TD/BAs and Group Functions. We foster an environment where ideas, thoughts and opinions can be shared. We are team players with clear common goals, based on each individual's contribution.
This is how you could make an impact
As an Enterprise Architect and a manager, you will serve as a critical link between business and digital logic. You will enable the formulation of Business Architecture Strategies to support Digital Opportunities, while leveraging the reusable assets from Digital & IT Common Architecture and Shared Technologies (CAST) and the North Star Target Architecture.
You will be successful in this role by combining your ability to plan, design and execute on large holistically compressive initiatives with a roll up your sleeves mentality and take a hands-on approach when needed.
You excel by continuously developing your technical expertise while tirelessly dedicating yourself to understand our business and have the ambition to make a difference in the digital transformation of the Volvo Group
As a member of the Architecture Function management team, you will work in a groupwide architecture and technology governance function, with the aim to accelerate the digital transformation of the Volvo Group; while at the same time supporting your colleagues across the Enterprise Architecture community.
These will be some of your responsibilities:
Develop Business Architecture Strategies and frameworks, incl Business Capability management as part of the Enterprise Architecture Framework
Support EAs in the TD BA GFs in translation of business strategies and plans to capability maps in One North Star Target Architecture
Support realization of digital business opportunities by developing relevant business architectures, and identifying requirement on IT Architecture
Drive and accelerate development of reusable assets (capabilities, solutions, products, service components)
Drive maturity in Business Architecture practices cross the Volvo Group

You have a proven track record of designing and implementing enterprise-grade architectures in large, complex organization with a decentralized business environment.
You can articulate complex topics to cross functional audiences and the demonstrated ability to think strategically, act tactically, about business, products, and technical challenges
You have a proven track record of success in agile deliveries and the ability to quickly deduce complex topics into actionable tasks
You have a broad overall business understanding which allows you to translate what our business visions would mean in practice
You possess both the technology breadth and depth which allows you to successful navigate between concepts and operations daily
You have a sincere and humble can do-attitude
