We are looking for: Head of battery optimization and monitoring - Technology
You will be given a unique opportunity to shape and drive the early development of Volvo Energy together with the leadership team and a set of skilled and committed colleagues. You will make a difference
Your starting point will be to, together with your co-head of the area, build and lead an agile team of great individuals covering the below areas:
Establish a system to in real-time monitor cell/module/pack in order to optimize battery life and continuously decide on next steps for the monitored object.
Define and implement a monitoring team setup/mechanism.
In dialogue with Group stakeholders, define necessary on-board/off-board sensors, connectivity and other mechanisms to achieve the above.
Continuously secure that current and planned connectivity aligns with Group data security requirements and applicable legal framework by country over time.
For applicable partnerships and as relevant - participate in, assume leadership of and/or create new ones.
You will work in tandem and close cooperation with your co-head, who will focus more on digitalization. Together - as a team - you will be a dynamic leadership combination!

Center of gravity for the organization and main location for this position will be Gothenburg Sweden, but other main Volvo Group locations could be considered
Qualifications likely required to be successful
University degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, software, mechatronics or equivalent.
Significant experience from battery systems, battery management systems and related components.
Excellent knowledge in building frameworks (process, methods, strategies, plans) and leveraging intrapreneurial skills in large, cross-functional organizations.
Fluent in English, written and spoken.
