EQT-owned Arken Zoois heading years of strong growth, andwill need commercially minded Head of Assortment with strong leadership skills - are you ready for the challenge?

Arken Zoo continues to grow, and is now looking for a Assortment Manager who should lead our assortment team. This is a key role within the business where you will secure margin growth by developing and securing the most efficient, profitable and attractive assortment and promotion plans for Arken Zoo and Djurmagazinet - chains. In the role you have 6 direct reports. Arken Zoo is located in Kista, Stockholm and you will be reporting to the Swedish Country Director.

Key operational responsibilities:

         Planning, development and execution of the annual business plan, sales and cost budgets
         Assure profitable and qualitative product dynamics for the assortment
         Assure assortment team to achieve sales and margin pool targets through

excellent leadership, development and high engagement
         Responsible for negotiation of annual agreements with local suppliers
         Responsible for the range definition and price positioning
         Responsible for execution of the annual marketing actionsfor each brand
         Assure and increase consumer loyalty through planned marketing actions
         Responsible for category space managementtogether with the team and store design manager
         Assure accurate sales forecasts
         Responsible for product trainings/nutritional trainings to store personnel

Your profile:

         University degree in business administration or equivalent
         3 â€“ 5 years experience as Category Manager, Key Account Manager or similar position with direct reports
Experience within an FMCG environment or retail
         Strong leadership skills
         Comprehensive understanding of the Specialized Pet Trade is advantage
         Comprehensive understanding of Chain concept management
         Experience of nutrition and/or animals is a merit
         Experience from Space management is an merit
         Excellent communication skills in Swedish as well as English
         Strength in MS PowerPoint presentation creation, and MS Excel modelling

It is also important that you are creative and an excellent communicator with the ability to persuade, negotiate and sell.
