Your role
We do not manufacture ordinary consumer products. We are developing fighter aircrafts whose operational utility and tactical capability can be critical in the defense of our nation's borders and our democracy. We are now looking for a manager for the Edition Management area, who is responsible for planning and producing the required documentation at system level for new editions of the aircraft.

Business Unit Gripen have ~4350 employees in Linköping, Arboga, Brasilia, Budapest, Gaviao Peixoto, Sao Paolo, Göteborg, Stockholm, Umeå and Växjö. The BU have the overall responsibility for the complete Gripen Weapon System. Systems Engineering Management is a area within department Fighter Aircraft, with ~90 employees, responsible for the systems engineering of the entire JAS 39 C/D/E/F aircraft. The area consists of overall systems engineering disciplines such as:
Formal and authorized technical leadership roles such as Chief Engineer Aircraft, System Architects and other senior Systems Engineers with technical roles for the entire aircraft
Characteristics, e.g., systems safety and security, weight and balance, and survivability including low observability
Product governance such as Configuration Management
Technical documentation and Flight Manuals
As Head of Airworthiness Publications, you will lead an team of approximately 15 engineers who work with coordination and development of technical documentation and Flight Manuals for JAS 39 Gripen C/D/E/F. In this role you will be responsible for coaching your employees and give them the best conditions possible to perform their work in an efficient manner. You are also the accountable manager for the deliverables from your unit and to secure on time deliveries with high quality.

Your profile

We believe you hold a Bachelor or Masters degree in a relevant field or equivalent with several years of experience from working in technical roles. Experience from leadership roles is beneficial.
The position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
