Who are we?
We are a passionate team responsible for Manufacturing Engineering and VPS for Volvo CE that wants to make a difference. Your role
The objective of the role is working in an international environment where you will lead several networks of Manufacturing Engineering managers to secure our the development and execution of the manufacturing technology plan, more commonly call Factory 4 Tomorrow which includes the deployment of new technologies within our product and manufacturing process for Operations.
You will also lead the operation side of Advanced Engineering and Core Technologies with the specialists and be the interface towards the Technology organization.
The plans will be developed in collaboration with the manufacturing engineering management network in Volvo CE and you will act as the 'go to person' for these different subjects in Operations. Part of the role is also to Benchmark external companies and research agencies to ensure the external view on relevant global process and technology trends.
In addition, you will lead a small team that is looking at the front end of innovation.
Who are you?
You are an experienced leader, with a strong track record of successful roles in manufacturing engineering or Technology. Having daily interactions with multiple stakeholders, the right candidate also has great people skills, ability to build trusting relationships and customizing support based on customers' requirements.
You have lots of energy and you are pragmatic, logical thinker and you challenge the status quo in a co-operational way. Gemba, Problem solving and Continuous improvements are part of your guiding principles. As you will be standing upfront of innovation for Operations, you have the ability to develop strategies and move them to meaningful actions. You communicate easily in English, both in speech and writing.
