This is exactly what has happened now, when our current Head of Accounting has decided to let go of some tasks, in order to specialize within others. For that reason we are now looking for her replacement. Could that be you?
About you:
We want you to hold an MBA or similar, as well as having an extensive experience within the whole field of accounting and finance. You have also worked as a leader for quite some time, and are used to (and enjoy!) the different challenges and possibilities that the role as a leader can offer. We'd love to hear you describe your way of leading people, and your views on good leadership.
If you have had the opportunity to work within an international organization we consider that a merit. We're not saying that you need to know every detail in every country's different tax regulations, but you need to be able to steer your team in a way that ensures that our processes and ways of working are world class. Other things we will consider as merits are for instance:
• You have a good track-record of leading both large and small scale projects, securing a good result in the end.
• A documented experience of working within a company with quick growth and a great will to change things in order to seek continuous improvements.
• Knowledge within the field of Swedish accounting regulations and consolidated accounts, K3.
• Regarding languages, a fluency in both written and spoken English is a must. "Scandinavian" and German are all seen as big positives as well.
• Familiar with working with NAV, Exflow, Excel.
About the job:
As IST's Head of Accounting you will have responsibilities in four different countries, and for our sake you can be placed in either one of them. However you need to be prepared for some travelling.
Besides that, your tasks will vary a lot. Typical tasks could be (but are not limited to):
• Operative and strategic leadership of a team of skilled employees working from four different countries.
• Making sure the individuals in your team strive under your leadership, both as individuals as well as a group.
• Being a strong ambassador when it comes to living and teaching our internal culture and values.
• Participation in the IST Leaders Group, where you exchange experiences and work with improving our leadership framework together with other Leaders within the whole IST Group.
• Accounting, Reconciliations, Consolidations & Group Accounts
• Monthly and quarterly business reports, Annual reports
• Follow up/analyses result vs budget
• External financial reports
• Budget, Forecasts
• Cash flow forecasts
About the team:
The team that reports to you consists of a group of people geographically based in all of our four countries, working with all kinds of different types of tasks. Besides them you will work closely with our CFO and our Group Controller, making sure that our standards and procedures are relevant and up to date. You and your team are a part of Business Support, where our joint biggest goal is to provide world class service and support within our different fields of expertise, to the rest of the IST organization. You will be directly reporting to COO/Head of Business Support, and you will be a part of the Business Support Management Team.
