hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos Norsk Elektro Optikk Lund AB i Lund The Hardware Systems Engineer will be working in a cross-disciplinary team to develop and implement hardware concepts in the technology platforms within NEOLund. Due to the innovative and research-oriented nature of the focus areas of NEOLund, each technology project is unique, and the Hardware Systems Engineer will be an important team member in the hardware concept phases, implementation phases and production phases of the projects.
This position includes close collaboration with external partners and some international travels, up to 15 days annually, to suppliers, partners and external collaborators, which are part of the job.
The Hardware Systems Engineer's tasks and responsibilities include:
• Technology implementation to enable new features and technologies.
• Design of schematics for new electronics.
• PCB layout and CAD of electronics design.
• Support in electronics production.
• Testing and documentation of hardware.
• Software design of hardware systems.
• Software implementation of hardware systems.
• Field tests of the developed platforms.
• Early prototype drafting and implementation of new hardware systems.
In addition, all team members at NEOLund are expected to find and push beyond the technology boundaries and jointly work toward the best solutions.
The success in the role requires skills/good knowledge/experience in the following areas, and those with experience in several of these areas will be given preference:
• Minimum of Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, physics, mathematics or similar and experienced in developing electronics systems with an interest in software implementation/development.
• At least three years of working experience in at least one relevant industry.
• Experience in:
o electronics schematics design.
o electronics PCB layout and CAD.
o simulations tools, e.g., LTSpice or similar.
o SMT soldering.
o electronics production/assembling both at small scale and large scale.
o electronics verification, testing and report preparation.
o sourcing and distributor contacts.
o early concept prototype drafting and assembling.
o software bringup.
o software architecture design.
o software tooling.
o embedded systems.
o software development.
• Relevant technical experience (optical instrumentations, laser systems, imaging systems, optical gas analyzers etc.).
• Product development experience.
• Being a team member who values teamwork with members from different disciplines.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and verbal.
• Used to take full responsibilities of assigned tasks.
• Physics interest and eager to learn and understand new fields.

You must be capable of working independently and have the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously while always being goal-oriented and committed.
NEOLund AB, located in Lund, Sweden, was formed in 2017 and is a subsidiary to Norsk Elektro Optikk A/S, Oslo, Norway. The company develops new laser technology platforms aimed for industrial optical sensors. The development branches involve tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) technology and light detection and ranging (LIDAR) technology for atmospheric and industrial gas analysis.
