hela Sverige Come and join our Global Ascom R&D Team in Gothenburg! The Hardware Manager is responsible for managing a hardware development team as part of the Global R&D department. The role includes a combination of line management, engineering project management and technical hardware product ownership. This role is responsible for all deliveries from Ascom hardware team and reports to Head of R&D Mobility.
Key accountabilities
• To manage development and maintenance of electric design for products and accessories within Healthcare Nurse call product portfolio.
• To take the role as engineering project manager for ongoing HW projects.
• To be part of project core team(s).
• To be responsible for all HW deliveries (quality, cost, time) from team.
• To lead, motivate, develop and act as a mentor for your team. Maintain a good working environment.
• To participate in road map and technology discussions.
• To take an active role in building relationship with potential development partners by recurring visits on site at partner.
• Coordinate, drive and support outsourcing projects where development and production are performed by 3rd party supplier.
Your background
The candidate for this role should have:
• University degree MSc or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience, preferably from the IT, telecommunication, or healthcare sector
• Previous experience from leading projects or development teams.
• Good competence in general HW (Electric Engineering) and verification.
• Good understanding in PCB design and manufacturing.
• Knowledge of applicable R&D management tools.
• Have an interest and ability to understand product portfolio in scope of future responsibility.
• Proven track record of successfully collaborating across teams and geographies in an international environment.
• Operative with focus on result and delivery, entrepreneurial attitude
• Solution-oriented personality
• Fluent in English both written and spoken.
