Job Overview
Assignment Description
We are looking for an Electronic Component Engineer to support the development and lifecycle management of embedded control and embedded I/O systems.
What You Will Work On
Manage and maintain the approved electronic component database and component libraries.
Support electronics designers with component selection, evaluation, and qualification.
Investigate and verify alternative components and second-source suppliers.
Manage component lifecycle challenges, including obsolescence, Last Time Buy (LTB), availability, and sourcing.
Coordinate and follow up on verification activities performed by electronics engineers.
Collaborate with Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) partners on component-related topics.
Work with local engineering teams and international colleagues in Germany and China.
Ensure component information remains accurate and up to date.
What You Bring
Strong knowledge of electronic components and their applications.
Solid background in electronics and embedded electronic systems.
Experience with component selection, qualification, and verification.
Understanding of component lifecycle management, including obsolescence and Last Time Buy.
Experience managing component databases, PLM systems, or component libraries.
Strong coordination, communication, and supplier collaboration skills.
A structured, proactive, and solution-oriented approach.
Meritorious
Experience with second-source investigations and supplier management.
Experience with embedded control and embedded I/O systems.
Experience coordinating verification and validation activities.
Experience working with international engineering teams and EMS partners.
