What you will be a part of
Surveillance provides efficient solutions for safety and security, for surveillance and decision support, and for threat detection and protection. The portfolio covers airborne, ground-based and naval radar, electronic warfare, combat systems and C4I solutions, and traffic management systems.
Business unit Surface engineering has global responsibility for Saab's surface radar systems, ground based as well as naval. It has offices around the world, with the largest sites being Gothenburg (Sweden), Syracuse (USA) and Halden (Norway). The BU has around 400 employees.
Your role
The section Mechanics & Power have around 90 employees in Gothenburg and responsible for system implementation, materials and green environment, environment testing, and design of power and mechanics units. The section is working in an agile and scrum way where the teams are available to take own decision in a self-organized arrangement.
We are looking for an electronic engineer to contribute in developing our land and naval systems. You will join a team that specifies, develops and verifies our electrical designs and will also have the opportunity to develop hardware products from concept to end of life.
As an electronic engineer you will:
Work in close cooperation with other developments teams
Design and develop cables for power and signals
Follow up production issues and solve trouble reports
Participate in integration work to build and verify larger systems
Design and development of both digital and analogue electronics solutions
Your skills and experience
To fit the role, you have preferred qualifications such as:
Experience in power designs and system development
Good communication skills in both English and Swedish
Experience from PBA tools such as Cadence, AutoCad, Mentor or Creo Parametric 3D cable routing
Open-minded and proactive and enjoying working in a team
BSc or MSc degree in Electrical engineering or equivalent
