We are now looking for a hardware design engineer to join our Radio-Link hardware product development team in Gothenburg. In this position you will have a meaningful role in one of our autonomous hardware development teams which have the full hardware design responsibility for several of Ericsson's MINI-LINK products. This includes both modems, processing & switch units as well as all outdoor products. We apply lean and agile ways of working, hence continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing are valued parts of the daily work. You will continuously encounter new challenges and get the opportunity to drive activities such as requirement analysis, design simulation, integration, verification, production support, product lifecycle management and documentation. As a Hardware Design Engineer, you will:
Perform electrical engineering of low and high-speed digital designs as well as analog designs including RF/MW/mmW technology
Integrate Radio Link PCB components (such as baseband, DSP, FPGA, CPU, Ethernet Switch)
Design PCB schematics, give PCB layout support, perform board simulations and evaluations
Verify developed PCBs and products in world class labs
Provide production support and act as interface in hand-over of products from the development to the manufacturing organization
Drive troubleshooting, root cause analysis, customer support as well as hardware quality assurance and follow-up activities
Perform requirement management and design documentation
Drive continuous improvements and innovation of products and processes
Key Qualifications:
A successful candidate is driven, has very good networking, collaboration and interpersonal skills in English, both in written and oral form, a talent for innovation, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, covering:
Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or similar
Passion for electronics hardware design (digital and/or analog) is seen as essential
Eager to learn, curious, solution oriented as well as true standout colleague
Result oriented, having an innovative mentality and valuing high quality results
3 years of shown experience within the field of digital and/or analog hardware design is preferred.
