Excent is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Hadoop Developer/BI Consultant to join a team responsible for evolving and supporting our company-wide data warehouse and reporting systems initiative. The candidate must have excellent working knowledge of the Hadoop eco system.
Requirements:
Hands-on experience with Hadoop technologies including HDFS,MapReduce, Pig/Hive, sqoop, flume etc.
Programming skills: Core Java, Python/Shell Scripting
Demonstrated understanding of ETL tool architecture and RDBMS
Good SQL Skills
Experience with Apache job/workflow Oozie
Experience on ETL w.r.t Big Data is plus
Experience supporting a user base of varying technical ability, including creating user defined functions for hive and pig.
Experience translating complex business analytic requests into scalable code
Work Experience and Education Guidelines:
2-3 years total experience in Hadoop and Java development.
1+ years total experience in ETL development and SQL
Masters degree in computer science.
