Are you currently studying Fashion or Textile Design at Bachelor or Master level at the university? Are you interested in working in a customer oriented way? Do you have a good eye for trends? Then you have the right qualifications to apply for a Fashion or Print Design Student Placement at H&M.
The H&M Design and Buying Office is based in Stockholm, Sweden. This is where we design and develop our collections of garments and accessories for a great variety of customers.
As a Fashion or Print Design Intern you will work in a team at one of our concepts. We have two kinds of placements: Fashion- and Print Design Placements. At the moment we accept applications for the student placement periods:
AUTUMN September-November 2014
SPRING February-April 2015
H&M is looking for someone who:
• Is currently studying Fashion or Textile Design at Bachelor or Master level at the university. The placement has to take place during your education period
• Has knowledge of pattern making, sewing, textile material and great illustration skills
• Is able to understand the needs of the target market and has high knowledge about current fashion trends
• Enjoys working in a team
• Is fluent in English
• Has creative and visionary ability to transform his/hers designs into fashionable commercial collections
What can H&M offer you?
• A three months contract.
• Salary is 18 189 SEK/month before taxes
• Depending on our needs you will be placed at any one of our concepts
• Please note: You will need to arrange your own housing in Stockholm

Application should contain:
• CV
• Personal letter of motivation
• Digital portfolio.
For Fashion design applications; garment idea sketches, technical flat sketches made on computer, detail drawings, mood boards, development work, handdrawn images from your sketchbooks, finished designs of full collections etc.
For Printed Textile design applications; print ideas, detailed hand-drawings, illustrations, final designs of repeats as well as frontprints in garment collections context, pages from sketchbooks, development work etc.
