Volvo Group Telematics is looking for a several customer oriented GUI (Graphical User Interface) developers. As GUI Developer you carry out design, construction and testing of software units and integrated solutions mainly focusing on GUI components within Application Development or Application Maintenance. You will be responsible for the detailed design, coding, testing and documentation of the software unit. As a GUI Developer you will participate in estimation and planning of the development, deployment and operation activities. Also you will analyzes and troubleshoot production system issues.
For this job you will be authorized to make communication which falls within the framework that is given by the customer, project manager, maintenance manager or account manager. Your work will improve the opportunity and optimize the performance of the system. You will also create system documentation, user training materials and work instructions.
Qualifications:
We are now looking for you that have solid knowledge in technical WEB design and modern client side technologies including HTML, CSS and JavaScript. You are very familiar with libraries/frameworks like JQuery, DOJO, AngularJS and you have experience from building One Page Applications/Rich Internet Applications using Ajax and REST services. You enjoy working in an agile manner and have experience from practices like Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment and Refactoring
Additionally experience of unit testing of JavaScript and automatic GUI testing, including support for different browser is extremely valuable.
You have basic knowledge in Linux/Unix and RDBMS design and implementation (Oracle preferred) and you have experience of using web services like WSDL, SOAP, XML, etc. You have knowledge in OOA/OOD, design patterns and open source Java framework such as Tomcat, JBoss, Hibernate, etc.
In your work situation you like to have responsibility and act with integrity in a result oriented mindset. You have the ability to have critical eyes and you dare to question the requirements and solution with a business-minded approach. You should have a strong customer focus and you have a service minded approach. You enjoy teamwork but you can also work independently and take initiative. You are noble in problem analysis and you also have the ability to grasp complex contexts.
The general qualifications are that you have an adequate academic qualification and that you are a communicative team-player. You have to have the ability establish and maintain good relations and also have the ability to work in global, multi-cultural organization. You are proactive and have a strong drive to continuously challenge and improve your knowledge. You are a good communicator and have deep presentations skills. You also have to be proficient in both spoken and written in English.
