Who are we?
Volvo Autonomous Solutions (V.A.S.) is one of the newest entities within the Volvo Group with the mission to offer transport solutions never seen before. We accelerate the development, commercialization and sales of autonomous transport solutions, focusing on defined segments for the on- and off-road space. With entirely new business models and advanced technology, we will meet and exceed expectations from customers and contribute to a society that we want to live in. We are now looking for an experienced leader to join us in our endeavor to create customer solutions that enhance safety, flexibility and productivity.
Our GTMs are the backbone of the Technology management team for Volvo Autonomous Solutions. They share our values of Customer Success, Trust, Passion, Change and Performance. They have extensive managerial experience and work on both strategic and operational level in an international and multicultural environment. They take initiative and contribute to shape our common future.
What will you be doing?
As GTM for the Driver team you develop both people and cutting-edge technology. You and your team are responsible for developing the architecture and SW for decision making, motion planning and motion control for both vehicles and machines. You interact closely with other teams in V.A.S responsible for perception and mission control. Together, you take part in all product life cycle phases, from the early specification and development phases throughout the maintenance and quality phases during customer operation.
As a GTM for Driver you will be part of an inspiring journey together with enthusiastic and professional colleagues throughout the Volvo Group organization. It is important that you enjoy working with new technology and take part in continuously improving our ways of working.
Qualifications
You have an extensive managerial experience within embedded software development and preferably from decision making and motion planning for AVs or robots. You have worked on both a strategic and operational level in international and multicultural environment. You demonstrate a clear vision, a global mindset and you have a proven track record of successfully developing people and technology. You are able to deal with the uncertainty of change and you are ready to face a challenge that do not have clear solutions or outcomes.
Your leadership style is characterized by managerial courage, business acumen and trust. You have strong interpersonal skills and can engage people around you. You hold a master's degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent, and is fluent in English, both written and spoken. We believe our new GTM combine technology experience with effective people management and embrace all aspects of diversity, safety, quality and the environment.
