Experienced GSE manager whose primary service depends on well-maintained vehicles, organization
and tracking of the fleet and expenses within the company. The GSE manager is able to accurately
maintain and hold responsibility for an exceptional level of quality of all ground support equipment in
the company.
Primary accountabilities and duties:
• Directs a preventative maintenance program to minimize cost and maximize use of
equipment.
• Detailed record keeping of all vehicles and equipment.
• Organization and tracking of expenses.
• Administers a testing and inspection program to determine quality, suitability, and compliance
with specifications for equipment, vehicles, parts accessories, and materials.
• Directs a quantity and quality control program to maintain satisfactory levels of work
performance.
• Plans, organizes, and directs the work of the duties to meet objectives with the most efficient
use of personnel, facilities and equipment.
• Ensures the safe and secure operations, in accordance with the highest possible standards of
health, safety, security and all government statutory requirements.
Candidate requirements
• Graduation from high school or evidence of equivalent educational proficiency, preferably
supplemented with college-level courses in mechanical engineering, business administration,
transportation management, and business management.
• Demonstrable experience in mechanical maintenance and repair in an industrial vehicle
operation, including in an administrative or supervisory capacity.
• Previous experience in aviation and/or ground support equipment strongly preferred.
• Must be able to maximize fleet utilization and ensure maximum shop productivity.
• Flexible and willing to work in a constantly changing environment
