hela Sverige The GSC Finance Analyst is responsible for supporting the Uppsala manufacturing operations collecting & analyzing financial data and making recommendations to Finance or operating leaders. Serving as a business partner to the Manufacturing operating team to drive business initiatives, growth, business strategy, and profitability. Reports to the GSC Finance manager for the Uppsala manufacturing.
Essential Responsibilities:
Managing the manufacturing unit's monthly estimate and month-end closing processes, working closely with the operating team to develop and analyze the forecasts
Work closely with the finance manager and the operating team to develop the annual operating plan (budget)
Support in the annual SPC (Standard Production Cost) setting process
Partner with business leader and staff to drive operating performance
Drive profitable growth by providing analysis of results and identifying & tracking key metrics while advising the leadership team on risks and opportunities, as well as recommending actions
Contribute to improving efficiencies and performance as well as providing quality financial information. Actively participate with Operations Management to improve productivity.
Develop and improve financial processes: Finance reporting tools, Management reporting tools, budgeting and estimating processes, standard Production Cost set ups and analysis
Assist with management, FP&A and corporate reporting (P&L), communicate results to managers and other stake holders
All GE employees may be considered for this role. Candidates should note that this role will be in scope for the proposed transition of GE Biopharma to Danaher and will transfer to Danaher at close of this transaction.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and significant financial work experience including developing forecasts & operating plans and leading business / finance reviews or equivalent knowledge or experience
Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications, strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation
Experience working in global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows
Fluency in English
Desired Characteristics:
Experience in field of Supply Chain Finance, preferably within chemical production area
Clear thinking / problem solving: able to quickly grasp new ideas
Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in a easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing
Confidence / Assertiveness: possess influencing skills across business functions; confidence to approach business leaders with difficult messages and defend position; for example, work closely with business leaders to achieve business objectives
Experience in a matrixed environment
Adaptable/flexible: being open to change (positive or negative) in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others
Basic understanding of financial compliance: SOX, GAAP
