YOUR ROLE - DUTIES
As Sourcing Manager in the strategic sourcing team you will contribute to defining and executing the strategy of our products' global sourcing within Permobil Group. The strategic sourcing team defines and presents supply chain strategies based on category management, including responsibility for suppliers and their performance. The team drives supplier collaboration in new product/technology development, bids and project execution. The position requires effective communication and cooperation regarding the strategies and prerequisites for the supplier base, together with departments in engineering, operations and supply chain.

The position as Group Sourcing Manager involves structured and methodical sourcing, with responsibility for setting requirements for procurement, compiling and evaluating tender documents. You will develop relationships with new and existing suppliers as well as being responsible for contract establishment and negotiations. Following-up and monitoring of key measures such as quality and delivery performance, price development and logistic arrangements is part of the role. Your assignment is to work in close interaction with the suppliers to set and improve both quantitative and qualitative targets. You will also be responsible for evaluating and selecting new suppliers. You will be visiting our suppliers for assessments, business follow-ups and risk management. Furthermore, you will implement cost effective solutions - based on quality, manufacturing, assembly, logistics and final assembly.

The strategic sourcing team undertakespend analysis and other procurement activities by applying best-practice processes, tools, and techniques, in accordance with procurement governance, standards and procedures.

This position is located at one of our offices in either Timrå, Kista or Nashville, and includes travelling.

YOUR PROFILE - QUALIFICATIONS
As a Sourcing Manager you work independently with a business mindset, you are accountable and quality conscious with the capability to work closely with others to influence decisions. You have the ability to work proactively and have a willingness to push your assignments towards their objectives.

We believe that you have high business ethics, that you are focused with the ability to develop relationships both internally and externally. You can express yourself fluently in English. Knowledge of other languages is considered a merit.

We also need your analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to understand a high amount of data to derive messages for presenting alternatives and recommendations. Focus on cost saving targets in bid and project phases, for enabling growth through competitiveness and strong profitability, is important.

In summary, we believe you have strong communication and negotiation skills with an engineering mindset. We also think you have strong presentation skills for internal and external audiences since clarity of communication is crucial.

We expect you to have a business and/or a technical education. Furthermore, you have at least 2-3 years of experience working strategically with sourcing and purchases - including negotiations with suppliers, writing and interpreting contracts and agreements - in the manufacturing sector. Our environment is international, since vast a majority of the work is conducted with suppliers outside of Sweden.
