94700 department is part of the Vehicle Software & Electronics unit within P&Q and is responsible for electrical systems and components in the areas of Driver Interaction (Instrument Cluster, Entertainment Displays, Switches, and Climate Control), HMI and Infotainment (Audio, Navigation, Telephony, Bluetooth, and Connectivity).
Connectivity section is responsible for development of Connectivity and Telematics functionality, Volvo On Call mobile app and In-car apps.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and drive long term technical strategies and set objectives accordingly in close collaboration with the POs
* Support teams in their everyday work by being present and attentive to their needs
* Challenge and support teams to continuously learn
* Identify and solve escalated team impediments with main attention on flow
* Proactively work with competence development to assure the right competence in line with long term technical strategies
* Guide and coach in agile development
* Overall responsible for your employees work environment
* Actively participate in the management team for Connected Infotainment
Qualifications
* Great understanding of Agile principles and SW Development processes
* Strong verbal and writing communication skills, English and Swedish
* Ability to show courage and build confidence
* Previous management and/or leadership experience with proven results
* High drive for results in a structured way
* Teamwork oriented
* Passion for quality and cars
* Experience of working within SW development
* Experience of working in an international environment
Personal qualities
* Self-driven and reliable
* Cooperative and transparent
* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, in written and spoken English, with technical development teams as well as with managers and business teams.
