We are now looking to expand the exciting area of Vehicle Motion Control with a group manager.



Description

Vehicle Motion Control is considered to be a strategic area within NEVS, highly focusing on the increasing role of software to control the vehicle's 6 degrees of freedom, not only according to the driver's intent but also in response the vehicle's environment/surroundings, as well as to other systems. All with the focus to combine an exceptional drive/ride experience with the highest levels of safety, traffic and energy efficiency as well us user convenience.

As a Manager "Vehicle Motion Software & Controls" you will be responsible for a team of engineers, with backgrounds in for instance vehicle dynamics, systems- and controls theory, machine learning and software engineering that work with the entire development cycle, including integration and verification in our vehicles. During the execution of this development, your team will heavily interact with neighboring teams within NEVS Technical Development, suppliers, and also R&D partners, often in an international setting.

Your position will complement existing skills and resources, and you will be reporting to the to the Director Vehicle Motion, Software & Controls.



The role as Manager for Vehicle Motion Software & Controls;

- Lead, coordinate and inspire one of the Vehicle Motion Software & Controls teams in their daily work,
- Define, maintain and continuously improve engineering and product development processes, guidelines and methodologies in the area of Vehicle Motion Software & Controls,
- Supporting ongoing vehicle projects during the entire development phase,
- Responsible for verification and validation activities,
- Responsible for resource planning and prioritization.



We are looking for someone who has;

- Minimum education of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent,
- Extensive experience from developing embedded software until and beyond release in high volume series production,
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written,
- Driver license B.

- Have functional and technical skills,
- Be creative, solution-oriented and open minded,
- Have good communication skills,
- Have the ability to plan and prioritize.

NEVS is a member of the Engineering Industries and covered by current collective bargaining agreement signed by Unionen / Sveriges Ingenjörer / Ledarna.
