We are now looking for a person who can lead the Vehicle Dynamics,ADAS &Automation testing team in Gothenburg, reporting to the FVV Customer Feature Verification Section Manager.
As Group Manager for Vehicle Dynamics,ADAS &Automation within Complete Vehicle, you will lead and manage a team of highly skilled engineers whose primary mission is to develop, plan, perform and report tests in the areas above. You will be responsible for the team's product deliveries, process and people development.
Your main task over time is to develop the team and the individuals to secure both complete vehicle testing in well known features and technologies (braking, steering, ride comfort..) but also develop the methods to verify self-driving trucks of tomorrow with Quality, Delivery, Cost and Performance in mind.
Testing is the heart of FVV and a strategic area where lot of developments and substantial challenges will happen in the coming 5 years.
Position Description:
We are looking for a driven and inspiring leader, with a positive mind set and an interest in developing people as well as technology. As the Group Manager for Vehicle Dynamics, ADAS and Automation within FVV, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Vehicle Dynamics
Lead Feature validation engineers and test engineers
Continuous improvement of testing method including automation of tests and efficient post processing of data
Report status at SP start compared to Friday offer but also towards competition
Propose necessary prestudies for rigs and equipment necessary to verify requirements short and long term
Collaborate with Vehicle engineering technology streams to prepare budget and V&V plan for each product updates
Use Data analytics on daily basis to create and improve testing according to customer usage
ADAS & Automation
Be part of the Agile teams and trains developing the SW functions of tomorrow
Develop methods to verify those functions at complete vehicle level
Follow deliveries according to PI-planning
Propose equipments and infrastructure to cope with Automation testing
Act as platform lead for automation solution verification in coordination with other sites
Train and reinforce the team with competence and skills in Automation area

In this position, Collaboration, Planning and Priority setting are key.

Who are you?
You have a holistic view and the ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with stakeholders. You are excellent in organizational and planning skills with a self-motived drive to always improve something good to something even better with our customer in focus. Preferably, you have experience from testing and Agile way of working with software. You have at least 2 to 3 years experience as leader. You have good level of communication in both English and Swedish, both internally within Volvo but also externally to our customers.
