Verification & Validation department, part of Customer Quality Experience, is a function within Global Product Development (GPD) at Volvo Buses. We are responsible for build and maintain test objects (from plan to final delivery) and to perform and develop tests to visualize and secure quality status of our products. The management team of V&V, 3 group managers, is working close together to develop our department to meet future challenges. We are all located in ARAL, Arendal, Gothenburg.
Group Manager Test Object Preparation

We as the management team of Verification and Validation drive the development of our department and find the solutions together.
Verification & Validation department are now looking for a Group Manager for the team Test Object preparation. The team is today 12 persons with several different roles such as Project Vehicle Manager, Test leader, material coordinator and warehouse logistic. The team has a mix of blue and white collars to be able to support the test object flow. The flow thru the group starts with test need identified and runs thru, planning of test object, securing material, and preparing for build. After that the team supports the build, plan and prepare for tests and finally hand over the test object to the testing team. After test performed, we need to secure restoration of the test object and return to our fleet of test object to be able to support next test request. The team is working in very close cooperation with our prototype workshop and testing team. We share the delivery responsibility for the department of test objects and material handling in warehouse.
Main tasks
You will have the responsibility to develop the group and the people to support future challenges contributing to Volvo Buses profitability. Within this responsibility you will need to define, agree and communicate and execute strategies and targets for the group. Our test vehicle fleet is under your responsibility, and we constantly need to develop our fleet to meet out projects test requests. Optimizing the material and logistic flow in our warehouse is also a challenging task for this position. Planning, prioritization, and direction setting for short- and long-term activities are part of your day-to-day activities. In this position you will work very close with the manager for our Prototype Workshop. You will need to secure good networks within and outside of the Volvo Group
In this position you will report to Director of Verification & Validation.
