Position Description
Aftermarket Technology contributes to delivering aftermarket solutions in terms of products & services to all Group Truck brand customers. In Aftermarket Technology we are close to the service market, understanding their needs and expectations in a workshop environment, as well as providing uptime services for our end customers. Our engaged teams have the responsibility for the creation of aftermarket services through the creation of service repair methods and Spare parts assortment.
The Service and Parts Assortment Engineering (SPAE) function within Aftermarket Technology (AMT) leads the development of aftermarket solutions. This means product and portfolio management with focus to deliver maintainable solutions for the service market of the Volvo group. SPAE consists of four teams of engineers with high aftermarket engagement and technical knowledge. You would be leading one of these teams.
The team's main task is to lead and manage the full deliveries for the segment of electromobility, fuel cells and electrical engineering, including spare parts and service information. Though working from Gothenburg, a close cooperation within a global network will be a key factor in assuring the successful deliveries of your team. The engineers in the team also work very closely with other departments at Group Trucks Technology (GTT), and networking is key to success. Main tasks
Your task will be to lead your team by taking a clear accountability for delivering the Spare parts and Service support to our customers. You are expected to take a stand with regards to the needs and requirements of your team in order to secure successful deliveries. You are expected to develop an organization with strong accountability and with an internal drive to continuously improve, build knowledge and understand customer needs as well as truck and services usage.
As manager for your team, you are expected to establish and connect to a broad network of managers and engineers within GTT. In this position you will be part of the SPAE Site Gothenburg management team, and report to the Section manager for SPAE Gothenburg.
