Join our team
Our current Group Manager for Drilling Application team will take on a new role in the organization so we are looking for his successor. We have a globally market leading position with our Underground Drilling Products and are investing heavily in technology- and product development to stay competitive and meet the ongoing technology shifts in our industry, electrification, digitalization and automation. The R&D Drilling is a global organization and, in this role, you will have the opportunity to work with colleagues around the world.
Your mission
Your mission in this role will be to lead and develop the R&D Drilling Application team as well as the roadmap and plan for Drilling Application platforms and solutions, from Technology Development, NPD to Maintenance and Customer orders; meeting needs in product- and project roadmaps. The application team is responsible for booms, feeds, drill units, rod- and bolt handling systems, where we see increasing request for automation functionality. Work is done in close collaboration with other teams within R&D Drilling, Global R&D, SW-team and other functions such as Marketing, Sourcing, Technical Service and Production.
An important part of the role is being member of the R&D Drilling management team, where we value differences and bringing new perspectives and experiences to the team. As a member of the R&D Drilling management team you will contribute to leading the entire organization towards our vision and strategy, where cultural journey, globalization, innovation and technology transitions as important examples.
Location and travel
Location for this position will be in Örebro, hybrid work possible in agreement with your manager. Global travel will be included in the role. In case a candidate from a different country applies and is successful, Swedish local terms and conditions will apply.

We are looking for you, who has Leadership experience and the right skills to challenging, motivate and coaching the team. Experiences within management team, developing efficient teams as well as working in and leading Global organization are meritorious. You have a strategical- and holistic capability and a technical understanding. You are customer centric, target driven and a collaborative team player and we hope that you are curious, and like us, dare to think new. Competence in mechanical design, FEA-analysis, simulation, control system, automation, robot technology seen as meritorious but not mandatory. We are a global organization with colleagues in Sweden, India and China, why verbal and written English is a requirement in the role.
