The Electromobility Department is responsible for developing electromobility solutions and to secure a stepwise implementation in different segments/regions. Our organization develops and drives the electromobility product portfolio for Trucks and Buses as well as creating opportunities for all business areas within the Volvo Group.
The importance of electromobility is growing every day and a key component within the electrified powertrain is the Energy Storage System. At our section, we are accountable for the lifecycle management of the Energy storage Systems, from advanced engineering, throughout product development into the maintenance phase.
We are now recruiting a Group Manager Product Owner, Energy Storage Systems
In this position, you will be part of the Energy Storage System Leadership team, an organization dedicated to technology as well as empowering and developing our employees. We always use customer satisfaction as the ultimate performance measurement.

Responsibilities
As a Group Manager for one of the key Energy Storage System product groups you will lead and further develop a skilled team consisting of passionate people. As a product owner of the current and next generation batteries you will ensure that our key products set the benchmark for our Volvo Group products like busses, trucks excavators etc. Together with your team, you are responsible for these products over time including roadmaps, concept studies, current projects and product improvements, maintenance and quality.
Your team consists of dedicated project managers, planners and system architects that gather the needs from our brands and Business Areas. You are responsible to lead projects and solve quality issues, closely connected to the technology groups that will ensure we have the leading technology. You are running a cross-functional internal network including our production organizations and are closely connected to key suppliers. You have a good view of our competitors and their future plans.

To be able to fully enjoy this position you should be ambitious, energetic and a communicative leader with an entrepreneurial mind-set creating strong business relations. Since the area is in an early phase, it is important that you are flexible and enjoy working in a changing environment.
You have experience from automotive electrical and/or electronic design, preferably battery development or electromobility. You have experience from working in larger companies with stakeholder management. Deep understanding of end-to-end product life cycle and industrialization, from concept to maintenance/ aftermarket
In addition you have:
Minimum ten years of experience within product development. Automotive application knowledge - understanding the end customer and how customer value is created
At least three years of managerial experience within automotive industry
Experience in project management, industrialization programs, including manufacturing.
MSc degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Computer science, physics or equivalent
Meritorious:
Experience requirement setting and roadmap development
Technical knowledge in the Electromobility products, systems and components, Energy Storage Systems is meriting
Knowledge of Volvo Group products and their different applications
Knowledge in product management and planning
