At CAST (Common Architecture Share Technology) within Vehicle Engineering, we are now looking for a Group Manager PLM/PDM (Product Lifecycle Management / Product Data Management) to join our dynamic, analytical, innovative, and ambitious Leadership Team to play a crucial role in the future of CAST IT ecosystem.
As part of the Volvo Group Trucks Technology organization, you will be instrumental to the transformation of our hardware ecosystem into a fit for our future next generation of product logic (PLM/PDM, Geometry) modernizing the core applications within product development - the heart of our Volvo Product Documentation. Our organization is a global function that has the responsibility to drive and coordinate the Volvo Group principles for CAST. We also identify, propose, and drive key efficiency initiatives in Engineering as well as secure new & common ways of working by supporting process & tools development within our hardware ecosystem.

What will you do?
You will lead, guide, engage and support our teams consisting of highly skilled and motivated employees. You will be responsible for defining and establishing hardware solutions securing our leadership in product configuration. You will work closely with Digital & IT and various stakeholders to set governance and strategy for our PLM/PDM modernization, building key user networks to get input on business needs cross-functionally, and driving digital change to keep pace with requirements and solutions in a data-driven manner.
As senior manager, you will
Establish PLM/PDM architecture as a strategic capability with deep thought leadership in the use of technology for competitive advantage
Be a key player in the modernization of Volvo PLM/PDM architecture & capability, with strong external relations with other companies and leading Tech partners
Set the PLM/PDM Enterprise Architecture vision, strategy, and mandate, aligned to business objectives and capabilities, and driving the cultural change needed across Group Trucks Technology to move to an integrated architecture
Understand and incorporate new technology trends to drive value for our business and improve business value
Deliver, maintain, and take ownership of methods and tools defining the artefacts and technologies to support the effective delivery to our end users
Ensure appropriate governance forums are in place
Identify and drive efficiency improvements in the areas of PLM/PDM
Take responsibility and accountability for implementing the necessary changes in our way-of-working, our digital transformation and continuous product development. improvements to meet the current and future needs of Volvo GTT and our broader ecosystem in relation to PLM/PDM
Support with business value the transformation of PLM/PDM, into a fit for future organization focused on upcoming technology trends
Contributing to building and shaping a new area where the ambition is to increase efficiency in our methods, tools, and deliveries.
Manage change management and governance for PLM/PDM and associated IT applications
Manage a portfolio of shared IT applications within Volvo Group
Drive effective engagement across IT organizations, engineering functions and other Volvo Group key stakeholders
You will also
Take part of the Platform Product Definition management team
Secure that tools and methods for hardware ecosystem are efficient for end-users
Take IT budget responsibility with lean and value optimization in focus
Be the main interface to Digital & IT and Volvo Group stakeholders
Support governance fora for PLM/PDM and CAST
Lead a team of key competences driving business value: Digital Product Managers, Epic Owners, and Product Specialists
Implement Agile transformation in connection and alignment with Digital & IT Organization
Who are you? Are we a perfect match?
You have a MSc or higher educational background.
You have a solid experience in translating business capabilities into digital capabilities
You have strong analytical skills to advise and lead teams on digital change
You have experience in conducting changes, and you are comfortable in handling multiple development models (Waterfall, SAFe, Scrum, IXP, LeSS)
You have collaboration skills - Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
You have effective Communication - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
You are action oriented - Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm
You manage ambiguity - Making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.

You will be part of the Platform Product Definition Management Team and report to the Director, Platform Product Definition - CAST
