At CAST (Common Architecture Share Technology) within Vehicle Engineering, we are now looking for a Group Manager Platform and Digital Collaboration to join our dynamic, analytical, innovative, and ambitious Leadership Team to play a crucial role in the future of CAST IT ecosystem.
As part of the Volvo Group Trucks Technology organization, you will be instrumental to the transformation of our hardware ecosystem into a fit for our future next generation of product logic (PLM/PDM, Geometry) modernizing the core applications within product development - the heart of our Volvo Product Documentation. Our organization within Vehicle Engineering, CAST & Platform Development, is a global function that has the responsibility to drive and coordinate the Volvo Group principles for Common Architecture & Share Technology. We also identify, propose, and drive key efficiency initiatives in Engineering as well as secure new & common ways of working by supporting process & tools development within our hardware ecosystem.

What will you do?
As Manager Platform and Digital Collaboration, you will have the responsibility for leading a team as well as contributing to various activities within GTT and/or cross Business Areas and Business Units. You will lead, guide, engage and support our teams consisting of highly skilled and motivated employees. You will work cross-functionally and collaborate closely with relevant internal and external stakeholders and partners.
As senior manager, you will
Identify and drive efficiency improvements in the areas of Product Definition, Digitalization and CAST optimization, as well as the implementation of digital & IT ways-of-working (Agile, team collaboration and business ownership)
Take responsibility and accountability for implementing the necessary changes in our way-of-working, our digital transformation and continuous product development improvements to meet the current and future needs of Volvo GTT and our broader ecosystem.
Support with business value the transformation of GTT architecture & capability, into a fit for future organization focused on upcoming technology trends
Contributing to building and shaping a new area where the ambition is to increase efficiency in our hardware development (tools & methods) and deliveries.
Provide leadership to help strategic and operational deliveries
Drive specific and appropriate hardware solutions for CAST and/or GTT and/or Volvo Group when applicable
You will also
Take part of the Platform Product Definition management team
Secure that tools and methods for hardware ecosystem are efficient for end-users
Take IT budget responsibility with lean and value optimization in focus
Be the main interface to Digital & IT and Volvo Group stakeholders
Support governance fora for hardware tool chain and CAST
Lead a team of experts globally working with continuous improvement
Implement Agile transformation in connection and alignment with Digital & IT Organization
Who are you? Are we a perfect match?
You have a MSc or higher educational background.
You have experience in conducting changes, and you are comfortable in handling multiple development models (Waterfall, SAFe, Scrum, IXP, LeSS)
You have collaboration skills - Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
You have effective Communication - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences

You will be part of the Platform Product Definition Management Team and report to the Director, Platform Product Definition - CAST
