Volvo Buses is now seeking a Group Manager for Mechatronic verification and measurement technology within Complete Bus department.
The Complete Bus department is responsible to develop robust concepts and verified and validated solutions for industrialization meeting customer needs together with other development areas. We are a contributor in developing solutions solving product deviations for vehicles in operation. The Mechatronic verification and measurement technology is part of Platform Development which is a function within Global Product Development (GPD) at Volvo Buses. We are responsible for developing platform solutions within the areas of Chassis Body in white, Body, Powertrain and Electrical. The main sites are located in Sweden and Brazil.
Mechatronic verification and measurement technology is responsible for secure that our products are verified regarding components, systems and feature levels . The size of the team is about 14 co-workers. In this position you will also be part of the Complete Bus management team, and report to Complete Bus Department manager. The team is a mix of competences and experiences with a high engagement.
At your job you will
With the team plan, perform, analyse and report verification activities for our global platforms.
You will also be a driver together with the team and organization to develop and document verification methods and measurement technology that secure quality assured products for our customer usage with latest technologies. Therefore, it's important that you like to start up, but also drive changes and implementations all the way to the end destination. Your main task over time is to develop the team and the individuals to support future challenges contributing to the deliveries start cost, maintenance and advanced engineering projects according to quality, delivery, cost and feature targets.
One important function as a group manager is also to define, agree, communicate and execute strategies and targets for the team and the department together with the management team of Complete Bus.
We are currently on a change journey to implement Lean@VBC with the focus to strengthening the engineering voice by actively work to understand customer needs and usage where we grow and share knowledge amongst each other. We are taking responsibility for the full delivery and are adaptive for the world around us.
