Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.Transmission Assembly in China
Scania has taken the strategic decision to set up a 3rd industrial hub in China - a project to develop and implement full-scale assembly operations has been initiated within Scania Production & Logistics. One part of this project is the establishment of a Transmission Assembly plant. In the project, you will be a part of an exciting journey to create a full-scale production plant in China. Starting from zero, the project team is responsible to design, build and launch production in a completely new factory.

We are now looking for Industrial Engineering Group Managers for the Transmission Assembly to join the project team and put the industrial processes and the organization in place!

Your assignment
As an Industrial Engineering Group Manager at Transmission Assembly, you will have the assignment of developing the organization, managing the project, and leading the project leaders & team members toward a successful project delivery. Creating a challenging and inspiring environment where keywords such as energy, collaboration, and transparency & inclusion characterize the relationship between employees, colleagues, and customers.
As a Group Manager, you have an operational role with overall responsibility for staff, work environment, and project management. You work both globally and in cross-functional forums within TC, Scania, and Traton.

Your main responsibilities will span a wide range of areas.
Examples of main activities among others will be:

• Recruit and develop the Industrial Engineering project team for SAS (Scania Asia)
• Define and execute effective ways of working in the team, adapted to the current need of the project and the team.
• Represent the project team in cross-functional
• Effectively distribute and communicate information within the organization and anchor decisions and solutions.
• Follow up on the manning and identification of competence needs.
• Actively plan and/or participate in workshops, project meetings, and decision forums.

Your profile
The role requires strategic, operational as well as administrative skills.
You have a Lean/Agile mindset and a genuine passion for building relationships, solving problems, and making your employees develop and grow.
We also believe you have analytic skills, and good knowledge of project- and change management.
You will work in a fast-paced environment with changing demands where you are highly capable of adapting to new prerequisites and by that setting a new normal situation.

When it comes to communication you need to be fluent in English, both in speech and in writing, and comfortable presenting to peers and senior management.

Your location
The China project team (TC) is based in Södertälje. However, flexible work location may be applied to reflect competencies needed and deliveries in the project. Business trips abroad and to China must be considered.
