We are convinced several technologies are needed as Battery Electric Vehicles, Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles and Combustion Engine Vehicles with fossil-free fuels. Vehicle Engineering at Volvo Group Trucks Technology is responsible to secure the integration of various components, technologies and systems to optimize a complete truck that meets our customers needs on performance, functionality and user experience.
To strengthen our development of Zero emission vehicles using Battery Electric and Fuel Cell Electric technologies we now create a dedicated Geometry architect team in Vehicle Integration to geometrically manage these vehicles. Vehicle Integration department is responsible to Lead Vehicle development by integration of various components, technologies and systems to optimize a complete truck for Volvo FH/FM/FMX to maximize customer value throughout the product life cycle. Now we are looking for a group manager!
You will be leading the architecture development for Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV). Task is to find the geometrical arbitration that gives the best customer and business value that is supported by our modular, production and aftermarket strategies. You achieve this by leading a group of experienced geometrical architects in an inspiring and inclusive manner with high focus on product delivery.
Qualifications:
As our preferred candidate you are a graduate engineer with extensive experience of architectural development within the automotive industry.
You should have good knowledge from Battery Electric Vehicles and its applications
You are expected to have customer focus and business mindset with ability to involve people to create engagement and a common view.
You need to be an inspiring leader, have a positive mind-set, and are interested in developing people and effective teams.
You are good in leading and implementing changes in way of working to achieve business results
Experience in the CAD system Creo and related systems
You are fluent in speaking and writing English
