hela Sverige In order to meet new challenges in electrification and autonomous driving as well as future demands to improve the drivability of all Scania trucks we are forming a group responsible for steering control systems. We have a very exciting time ahead of us with a lot of attention on getting new functionality to our customers at an even higher pace.
Steering controls will be responsible for taking the different steering systems from concept to production, but will also focus on gathering the needs for future projects within steering controls. The development of new functions is done both in cooperation with suppliers as well as in house at Scania. All work is done in close cooperation with our design and test engineers at chassis development.
Steering controls will work within an agile framework and is working very intensely with reducing the lead time for new functions while maintaining the high quality of our products. Working with our processes and methods will be an important key for our future success.
Your duties
As a group manager for steering controls you will be responsible for 8 experienced engineers within controls systems development. It is your responsibility to coach your employees towards our set goals and to make sure that the deliverables meet the right timing and quality. You will also be responsible for the resource and competence supply within the projects that affect steering controls.
You are expected to take a big responsibility in developing and maintaining good cross functional contacts within Scania as well as with in Volkswagen Truck and Bus. As a group manager you are also a part of the Chassis Controls management team.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with an MSc in Engineering or equivalent with several years' experience within control systems development. You should also have managerial experience, and be driven, responsible, communicative and interested in developing our methods. Your way of working should be motivating and inspiring for your employees.
