At Section Exterior Front, you are part of a global cross-functional development team with the task to develop and launch Volvo Car Groups coming car projects. You and your team handle systems and components of Exterior Front, which is a part of Exterior engineering department.The group consists of approx. 20 design engineers who are responsible for development of bumper systems and the ingoing parts of a bumper system.
As Group manager you are product responsible for all of the group's deliveries and responsible to ensure the group 's resources in the resource contract for the group during the three development phases: Annual, Concept and Maintenance.
Main responsibilities
* Lead and develop a team of engineers
* Ensure that resources in the short and long term are located correctly
* Recruitment, staff development and strategic competence development to meet future needs
* Active support and continuous effort to create opportunities for the engineers to carry out assigned tasks
* Create the necessary conditions for the team to develop over time in order to meet the requirements for quality, efficiency and shorter lead times
* Be a contributing member of the section management team.
* Develop and update the group's part of the section system strategies and commodity business plan
Required qualifications
* University degree or equivalent in Product Development, mechanical/automotive engineering, or other relevant area
* Documented Leadership skills
* Understanding of Product Development processes
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Drivers's license B, valid in Sweden
