About the Role
As a Group Manager & Product Owner for Battery Electric and Fuel Cell Heating and Cooling System in Thermal Management (TM), you will lead and develop a team of highly skilled component- and sub system engineers providing optimized thermal management systems for all truck brands within the Volvo group. Together with our highly skilled engineering teams and a wide cross functional network you will be the formal product owner for the heating and cooling systems for our battery and fuel cell platforms.
As a group manager in Thermal Management, you are also an important member of the TM leadership team, securing and leading tasks connected to the overall Thermal Management roadmap, strategies and deliveries. You are a key person and an active contributor making Thermal Management recognized as the best place to grow.
Who are we and what do we do
Thermal Management is a department/sub technology stream within Volvo Group Trucks Technology with the responsibility for developing optimised cab climate and vehicle cooling and heating systems for all truck brands within the Volvo Group.
Who we are looking for
The person we are looking for has several years of experience from leading complex product and system development in combination with a genuine interest in people and team development. In the highly technical field of Thermal Management and in the role as a group manager / product owner, we encourage applicants who has a strong technical interest with motivation to coach others and want to take lead towards the sustainable future of battery and fuel cell technologies.
You have the ability to clarify and break down complex technical problems and are known for your excellent communication, innovation and motivation skills. You are confident to take decisions and balance in a complex system environment while always keeping the customer focus.
As a Group Manager in Thermal Management, we are looking for applicants with knowledge and experience in at least some of the following areas:
Several years of leadership experience (line and/or project/product management) in engineering field.
Engineering degree in in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Electronic Engineering or equivalent relevant work experience.
Previous experience from leading complex system- or component development, preferably from automotive industry.
Strong networking abilities and communication skills in a global and multicultural environment.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
