Can you see yourself setting up a new team of engaged and highly skilled engineers responsible for developing solutions in the area of Electric Vehicle Air Compressors (EVAC)?
There is now an opportunity to join the Vehicle Dynamics (VDYN) team within Vehicle Motion and Energy Management (VMEM) as a leader in the exciting journey to develop the Volvo group future vehicle dynamics systems.

Automation, electrification and advanced engineering challenges are keeping us busy. As part of the VMEM Technology Stream, we take on these challenges with passion and deliver together with our colleagues from purchasing, manufacturing and aftermarket.
About the role
The Vehicle dynamics organization is growing, and your task will be to build a new team out of existing employees from the VDYN organization, and in addition recruit new team members.
This position offers you the opportunity of being responsible for EVAC global technology strategies as well as all aspects of the development lifecycle, from advanced engineering through development and into the maintenance phase.
As a group manager in VDYN, you will be leader in an organization dedicated to technology, people and performance, where customer satisfaction is our ultimate performance measurement.
The electric vehicle air compressor technology is a strategic, maturing technology which will play an important role in many Volvo group electrified solutions in the future.

In order to succeed in your new role we think you have:
Bachelor/Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics or similar
>5 years of product development experience in the area of vehicle dynamics or automotive
Leadership experience
Experience from agile product development
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Competence in air compressor technology is a merit
