Volvo Group Design is the design function for the Group's brands and business areas. The team provides design to products, digital solutions and services from the three studios located in Gothenburg, Sweden, Lyon, France and Greensboro NC, US. We offer you opportunities to work with all business areas under the Volvo brand: Volvo Trucks, Volvo Construction Equipment, Volvo Penta, Volvo Buses, Volvo Autonomous Solutions, Volvo Energy and Volvo Financial Services. The User Experience team within Volvo Group Design is growing. We are more than 50 skilled Service Designers, UX and UI Designers and Front End Developers today, but need more colleagues to join us to deliver on the Volvo Group vision: to be the most desired and successful transport and infrastructure solution provider in the world!
We offer you an exciting position, where you will:
Lead and develop a team of Service Designers and UX researchers to secure individual competence development and performance management to meet given design targets set by the Design Directors and business owners. Work in close cooperation with design and business leadership of each business area: Truck, Bus, Construction Equipment, Financial Services, Energy, Autonomous Solutions and Penta to provide the right support to each project. You will also administrate and plan work assignments to drive the team 's performance and develop and manage service design budgets and timelines. This position also includes developing and harmonizing processes and tools to best accommodate the needs of the different business areas and make us excel in UX Research and Service Design.

A full understanding of, and, ability to advocate, the design process and tools
Your service design expertise
Innovation and user research process facilitation skills
Fluency in English
We would like you to have min BA/BFA or equivalent degree in a related design or behavioral science discipline. We prefer that you have 5 years of design industry experience within automotive or transportation and documented team leader and/or project management experience. We are looking for you who has the team spirit. You love to empower your team with whom you have an open and transparent communication with. You are also strong in building peer relationships and in recruiting and supporting top talents.
