Scania is currently undergoing an exciting transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer to a provider of complete sustainable transport solutions. IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania's success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements. Are you a servant leader who wants to work as a Group Manager within Product Data Management IT?

Our section, OAS, is looking for a humble and energetic group manager, responsible for the frontend and UX competencies, and passionate about developing people. Could that be you? Then you should definitely continue reading!

What is OAS?

OAS (Object and Structure tool) development is Scania's in-house developed PDM (Product Data Management) system - the core system that enables Scania's modular approach when building vehicles by housing product data, structures, and support for lifecycle management. OAS is a centerpiece in Scania's modularisation and we have hundreds of systems integrating with OAS to enrich their data or business. The solution is selected to be used by the whole Traton group for PDM - we have challenging and exciting times ahead!

What we do

As a member of PDM VCT (value-creating team), you are a vital part of the backbone that supports not only Scania's present and future success, but also Traton's.

If you like to work with highly important work for Scania and establish and onboard a new brand into the modular system for the future, this is the right job. To be able to deliver this we are in close collaboration with business. Together we see the whole chain from user need to system development and implementing a solution.

Your responsibilities

Your group consists today mainly of frontend developers, testers and UX designers. You will develop the team and support the journey toward the TRATON generic PDM system. You will work in close collaboration with our stakeholders, as a team. The PDM management group consists of members from both R&D and IT; currently six group managers and two section managers.

The common goal will be to give the best support to all employees and nurture an inclusive culture both for the groups and for the PDM organization. You will have formal responsibility for the employees in your group and coach them to grow and develop. You will contribute to creating a safe environment for the employees where it is acceptable to make mistakes.

In good collaboration with all stakeholders, we ensure that we work with software development in an efficient way. You will ensure that the teams have the prerequisites to meet business objectives at the same time as we work with technical debt and modernize our products. You will create an environment where it is natural for the teams to work with innovation on a continuous basis.

Furthermore, you will continuously contribute to making our section an awesome place to work. You will take on challenges open-mindedly and have fun together with your colleagues.

Your profile

You truly believe that:

• autonomy is key to creating motivation within a team and you enable that by visualizing a clear direction but then letting the teams decide how to get there
• caring about each other is a pre-requisite for people to feel happy at work
• diversity is crucial to create high-performing teams
• agile software development is the future, and you have prior experience in agile software development
• great architecture and technology is key to achieving business value
• leadership is all about making others grow, develop, and feel motivated.

Do you think that this position is the perfect challenge you are looking for? Then do not hesitate to apply!
