At Research and Development, you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers around the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people.
As a Manager within the four groups of Measurement tools & strategy, you will be an important key person to initiate and lead the technical competence development within the area. The closely positioned groups have the overall responsibility for Measurement tools & strategy, Big Data mgmt, HIL technology, Sold services and support within R&D to provide the organization with reliable information. As group manager, you will lead the group responsible for the procurement strategies, purchasing and handling of all Volvo measurement- and data collection equipment.
In addition, this offers you a great opportunity to act in many different arenas and gives you a broad
network throughout the company.
Main responsibilities:
* Competence planning, recruitment, development of the organisation and employees to fulfil current
and future needs
* Lead, control and follow up the groups deliverables
* Establish and operate through networks together with our customers
* Apply a holistic view of the measurement area taking both suppliers and R&D need's into consideration
* Actively participate in the section management team and contribute to the development and improvement of operational efficiency and quality of deliveries
Required qualifications
* Master degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Automation, Computer Science or equivalent
* Good leadership and communication skills
* Strong understanding of measurement technology and development of such a business
* Fluent in Swedish and English, written and spoken
* Experience from product development is meritorious
Personal qualities
