Group Manager - Measurement Tools & Strategy

The group Measurement Tools & Strategy within the Department A&V Environments is a key player to initiate and lead the technical development within Measurement. We propose solutions as well as bring support to define needs connected to the future technical measurement plans of R&D. The group today includes 20 persons. The group works closely with "Measurement and Instrument Support" who is the owner of all test equipments within R&D.

As Group Manager within the groups Measurement tools & strategy, you will be an important key player to initiate and lead the technical competence development within the area. Your team will propose solutions as well as bring support to define needs connected to the future technical plans of R&D. These groups have the overall responsibility for Measurement tools & strategy, BIG Data mgmt, HIL technology and support within R&D. The team consist of approximately 20 people today.

Main responsibilities

• Competence planning, recruitment, development of the organisation and employees to fulfil current and future needs
• Lead, control and follow up the groups deliverables
• Apply a holistic view of the measurement area taking both suppliers and R&D need's into consideration
• Be a contributing member of the section management team

Required qualifications

• Master degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Automation, Computer Science or equivalent
• At least a couple years experience from leadership
• Strong understanding of measurement technology and development of such a business
• Fluent in Swedish and English, written and spoken
• Good knowledge of Volvo Car Group's R&D is meritorious
• Drivers license, B
