The importance of electromobility is growing every day and a key component within the electrified powertrain is the Energy Storage System (ESS). At our section, we are accountable for the lifecycle management of the ESS - from advanced engineering, throughout product development into the maintenance phase.
Your future role
We are now recruiting a Group Manager for Battery Cell Technology. In this position, you will be part of the ESS section Management Team, an organization dedicated to technology as well as empowering and developing our employees. We always use customer satisfaction as the ultimate performance measurement. You will be part of an agile and approachable organization with skilled teams consisting of passionate people. With us, you will have a diverse, friendly and open-minded team on your side, always providing you the help needed to manage tasks you cannot imagine today. As Group Manager for the Battery Cell Technology Team you will be responsible for the scouting, characterization and selection of cells for our different batteries. Your team of specialists and you are responsible to build world class knowledge of battery cell technology, characterization, modelling and simulation. You own our cell roadmap, decide on research and AE projects and support cell selection and development in current series projects and product improvements. You will work closely with our storage system groups by selecting cells and balancing requirements. You are running a cross-functional network internally and work closely with our key suppliers. You have a good view of our competitors and future technology development in cell design and manufacturing. You enjoy being in the forefront of technology and create a large network with the best players in cell development and research globally.

You like to develope new ways of working and are able to combine your leadership experience/potential with your deep knowledge of battery cell technology in an excellent way. Requirements
* MSc degree in Physics, Chemistry, Electro-Chemistry or Material Science. PhD is a merit.
* At least 7 years of experience with battery cell development within OEM or supplier product development processes
* Experience from development of components with complex system integration
* Experience in requirement setting and supplier management
* Experience in working cross-functional
* Experience from research projects with universities and research institutes
* Experience in roadmap setting and technology strategy
* Experience from IP management
* Managerial experience within automotive industry is a merit
* Fluent in English - verbal and written
