Welcome to the team
The Driver domain is part of the Technology organization at Volvo Autonomous Solutions with the ambition to deliver the most desirable automated driving functionality on the market. We are a software centric domain and have the responsibility for software design, implementation, compliance and quality over the complete life cycle for the motion planning and control capability of our autonomous vehicles. We are driven by the vision that our innovations will exceed expectations from customers and contribute to a society that we want to live in.
Our domain consists of several brilliant teams, and in this role you will get the pleasure of leading ~10 of our amazing engineers focusing on motion planning algorithms allocated both off- and on-board the autonomous vehicles.

To complement and lead our team forward we believe you have ample experience of product development and are familiar with the full product lifecycle of designing, developing, testing, deploying, operating and maintaining software solutions with hardware dependencies. Your industry background might be broad, but we expect you to bring with you good insight into software development and have deployed solutions both in embedded and cloud environments. It would delight us if you have experience of probabilistic and/or deterministic algorithms and techniques for motion planning and know your way around optimization techniques and mathematics.
