Role
The Group Loss Prevention Manager (LPM) will be responsible for in dependently handling property, marine cargo and security loss prevention matters for the Risk Management & Insurance function. The candidate for this position must have a deep understanding of and interest in the business and the strategies of the Husqvarna Group. You will work independently and be based in Sweden or Ulm, Germany, reporting to the VP and Head of Group Risk Management based in the US. This position requires extensive travel (approximately 75
Essential duties include enhancing, refining and managing the property loss prevention program to cost effectively reduce risk at Husqvarna operations in accordance with the Group's Risk Tolerance. Part of this function includes maintaining a database of Recommendations, Action Plans and completion status. In addition, you will develop and manage the marine cargo (transport) loss prevention programs. You will manage loss prevention site visit schedules and processes, and have direct participation and involvement in site visits conducted by third-party loss prevention risk engineers.
Profile
It is crucial that the candidate be self-motivated with possess relentless drive to follow-up and achieve completion of loss prevention Action Plans. The candidate must also be an effective oral and written communicator, fluent in English. You must be able to work cooperatively and effectively with all levels of personnel at site locations; effective at influencing individuals to accomplish loss prevention objectives without directly supervising these individuals.
The right person needs to be proactive and must take his/her own ini tiatives. Knowledge of the insurance industry is not essential, but minimum five years experience in factory operations is required, as is an academic degree. The candidate will have risk management and loss prevention acumen with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage complex global programs. Knowledge of fire protection systems and standards is a merit.

The Group LPM will work in a fast-paced and ever-changing business environment and must therefore be adaptable and also be capable of driving change. The ideal candidate has the characteristics of a self-starter and has a strong drive and a will to perform.
It is not necessary that you have prior loss prevention experience, but you must demonstrate knowledge of production operations and ability to develop and complete Action Plans, and track and report progress and completion status with sophistication.
