MIMS is now recruiting additional Group Leaders
MIMS is seeking outstanding candidates for 2-4 new positions. The fixed appointments will normally be for five years.
The new group leaders will be provided with a generous support package including funding for postdoctoral associates and PhD students. Successful candidates should have a record of outstanding research in fields relevant to molecular infection medicine.
Researchers active in the area of chemical biology are encouraged to apply. The candidates are expected to initiate and maintain strong research programs synergizing with the UCMR research environment and to take active part in collaborative research opportunities and exchange programs within the Nordic EMBL Partnership for Molecular Medicine.
To qualify for the Group leader position a candidate should have a PhD degree or equivalent, appropriate postdoctoral training and a strong track record for attracting independent funding. Particular weight will be given to scientific proficiency. We will consider candidates at two levels that are corresponding to the levels of positions offered by the Swedish Research Council Medicine: at the Junior research position level for candidates that completed the PhD degree within no more than five years before the last date of application and at the Senior research position level for candidates that have past the junior research position step in the career ladder. Applicants should submit an application including a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a list of publications (indicating ten most significant publications), copies of degree certificates, a concise description of research interests and statement of previous research achievements and teaching merits, a research plan (maximum 8 pages/font 12), a financial plan, and a list of at least three reference persons, all in a pdf binder.
