We are now looking for a Group Leader Mechanical Design
Description
The Mechanical Design organization that you will be part of is responsible for Design, Electrical and Mechanical Integration, within NEVS Technical Development. The Mechanical Design organization is responsible for the design of all components in the vehicle. The Mechanical Design Department consists of 5 Teams:
- Sheet Metal
- Frames- Mounts/Machined parts & Standard
- Electrical/electronic & Lighting
- Carpets- Insulation- Hoses & Seals
- Plastic- Composite- & Glass areas
You will lead a team of design engineers working primarily internally with other design engineers and collaborates internally with Project Engineers / Manufacturing Engineers and technical specialists. You will be in charge of one of the following groups, Sheet Metal, Electrical/Electronic & Lighting, Carpets- Insulation- Hoses & Seals or Plastic- Composite- & Glass areas. We also participate in international projects.
Your position will complement existing skills and resources, and you will be reporting to the Manager of Mechanical Design.
The role as Group Leader for a Mechanical Design Team;
- Lead, coordinate and inspire one of the Mechanical Design teams in their daily work,
- Responsible for the long term plans for your employees, and team,
- Define, maintain and continuously improve engineering and product development processes, guidelines and methodologies in the area of Mechanical Design,
- Provide a safe and structured environment for the team. Communicate company/project level updates and changes,
- Responsible for resource planning and prioritization, developing strategies to ramp up or down based on resource requirements in projects.
We are looking for someone who has;
- Minimum education of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent,
- Experience in concept engineering,
- Experience in Cad modelling,
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both spoken and written.

- Have functional and technical skills,
- Be creative, solution-oriented and open minded,
- Have good communication skills,
- Have the ability to plan and prioritize.
