Group Design Leader Exhaust system Propulsion Energy Systems
The group Exhaust System is a part of Propulsion Energy Systems. We work with the vehicle mounted exhaust system working primarily with NVH and Pressure drop properties of the system. We work in close cooperation with our suppliers and different car and engine projects. We deliver complete system to new car projects and to current running production.
What's in it for you?
As Group Design Leader you will work within exhaust system team for new car programs. You will lead a team containing of Design Engineer, Purchasing, Site Quality Manager and will be reporting to the program management and Group manager regarding the progress (time, technique and cost). You will work in close cooperation with suppliers, purchasing, manufacturing engineers, SQM, testing department and other support team members within the company. The work demands a personality that drives all tasks effectively and find ways to implement the best possible solution with no deviations regarding quality assurance.
What you'll do
Your mission consists in managing exhaust system projects and you will report project status to program management and team manager, and lead cross-functional teams both internally at Volvo Cars and towards the supplier to manage the deliveries according to the project plan.
Running daily activities and managing, delegating and communicating detailed project plans for all affected parts of the project are part of your daily work, as well as documenting and communicating all decisions within the Team
Do you fit the profile?
We are looking for you who have technical training, preferably a B.Sc. in mechanical engineering, and has experience in project management
Do you have knowledge of the exhaust system and Automotive Experience is an advantage
You as a person has high integrity and is a very talented communicator who speaks and writes English fluently.
We assume that you are business-and Performance-driven with a holistic approach and conceptual thinking.
This service requires a driving license B valid in Sweden.
